Let's talk about an underrated band people.

BUILT TO SPILL

Mr. Doug Martsch has quietly gone about his business and is as influential as anyone in my spectrum of present rock music. Eons ago, I listened to this album called, Perfect From Now On. I remember believing in this ablum. Every inch of me believed every note and every word spoke. After further discussions with some friends and several articles later, I realized that this band (from Idaho?) didn't enjoy touring on the east coast. It was around that time that I gave my disc to a good friend who decided to hold onto the disc until... forever. I started reading reveiws on their newest album, You In Reverse. After a quick download of it and it's predecessor (Keep It Like A Secret), several listens I realized that I still enjoy these morons tremendoulsy. You In Reverse, as a whole is complete with thought, emotion, pop hooks and psych-rock anthemic type structure. How wonderful, I thought.

It only dawned on me a couple days ago, to locate Perfect From Now On. I found it... again.

Perfect From Now On has only 8 tracks. I believe 3 of them clock in at well over 6 minutes; 1 of those tracks clocks in at 9. And, my friends, Perfect From Now On is an album for the ages (and aged!). If you love rock and roll, there is absolutely no possible way you won't fall in love with this band, but more specifically Perfect From Now On. Lyrically this album is the hands down winner in provoking the idea that we all feel the same way, some of the time. Nobody's perfect, no matter what you do or how hard you try or how you name your album. And when you get this album and really wrap that noggin' around the meat of it, you understand it's layered rock and roll poppy-seed bubka. In other words, sweet, sticky and you'll be picking at your teeth for days.

The Toronto Raptors hire Brian Colangelo!

Words can't explain what this means to the franchise.

This is the biggest signing, be it management of player, that this franchise has ever inked.

We should also thank Richard Peddie (far left) for putting aside his massive ego, and stepping down as president of the franchise, and giving full reign to Mr. Colangelo. Let's hope he does the same for the Maple Leafs.

I guess Bush and the present American government didn't see this coming... so much for democracy.

Facts about Hamas:

- Hamas is a fundamentalist group that wants to establish an Islamic state on what it considers "historic Palestine," which includes modern-day Israel.
- In the election campaign, Hamas portrayed itself as an alternative to the corruption-plagued Fatah -- the group founded by Yasser Arafat and now led by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas that has dominated Palestinian politics for decades.

- Its military wing, Izzedine al Qassam, has claimed responsibility for terrorist operations, including suicide bombings in Israel as well as attacks on Israeli troops and Jewish settlers in Gaza and the West Bank.
- Leaders Sheikh Ahmed Yassin and Abdel Aziz Rantisi were killed in Israeli airstrikes.
- The United States and European Union list Hamas as a terrorist organization.
- Nearly half the Palestinian Authority's annual budget comes from the United States. The White House has suggested it could cut aid to a Hamas-led Palestinian Authority.

PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT HAMAS OR THE PALESTIANIAN DECISION, UNTIL HAMAS CHANGES IT'S VIEW ON THE PEACE PROCESS AND THE LEGITIMACY OF ISRAEL AS THE JEWISH STATE.
